Are you proud of your dog’s poo? (part 1)

Are you proud of your dog’s poo?

We found out that 85% of raw feeders say their dogs’ poos
are now smaller, firmer and much less smelly! Even if raw feeding isn’t your bag, do read on!

You can’t help but notice that there has been a bit of a raw-feeding revolution. We asked raw feeders to tell us why they chose to feed this way and we were impressed: they really roared! An impressive 650 people came back very quickly to tell us their experiences.

Raw facts...

We asked when you first heard about raw feeding: 6% heard about it before 1990, which was around the time I was hearing the first whispers, too. 15% heard of raw before the millennium. 12% only heard about raw in the last year.

Some people literally fell on the concept: “ I dropped raw food on the floor and my dog loved it!” “ It was my own decision 40 years ago.” “ My holistic vet suggested raw after my conventional vet had failed to save my boy.” “ My boy had sickness and diarrhoea for five months; we changed to raw and it stopped the very next day.” “ Mine were having their anal glands emptied by a vet every month; switched to raw and haven’t needed emptying for over two years.” “ Now no doggie smell.” “ No bum dragging, no windy tummies.”

We asked if you found there were any benefits to your dog after feeding raw: Some people can be quite dauted at changing over to raw and 67% admitted to some nerves before taking the plunge. But the rewards seem to have been there for the brave:

60% said they saw a positive improvement in their dog within the first few days of transitioning

30% said they saw changes in just a few weeks

4% said they saw changes in a matter of months

6% recorded no changes after feeding raw.

The biggest change noticed was poo quality! An amazing 85% said their dog’s poo became smaller and less smelly!

The six biggest changes:

✔ Better poo

✔ Glossier coat

✔ Teeth and gums improved

✔ Upset tums banished

✔ Skin healthier

✔ Breath less smelly
